Assist the Director in managing and planning all construction issues in relating to the campus development to ensure projects are accomplished in time, within budget and up to required quality and safety standards;b. Liaise with all government departments and relevant authorities in the Mainland in respect of statutory submissions, routine and final inspections;c. Liaise with and monitor local design institutes, contractors, supervisory team (Jianli) in accomplishing project objectives and meeting timelines;d. Provide technical support and advice on site management to other members of the project team/faculties, as well as to in-house staff of other departments;e. Review with design consultants, and local design institutes on the contractors'technical submissions and site works to ensure compliance with sound architectural principles, the required quality and safety standards;f.EnsurecompliancewiththeHKUST'sguidelinesandrequirementsforentirecampusproject.Requirementsa.Abachelor'sdegreeoraboveinArchitecture,ProjectManagement,BuildingSurveying,BuildingServicesEngineeringorrelateddiscipline;professionalqualification(HKIA,HKIE,CIBSE,APM,CIOB)isdesirable.Higherqualificationinprojectmanagement,constructionmanagementorbusinessmanagementispreferred;b. A minimum of 15 years' relevant working experience in project/construction management of building and infrastructure development and on site co-ordination of building projects. Experience in managing Rc. Experience in managing projects from ground breaking to completion including handover;d. Hand on experience in managing international consultants/local design institute/contractors/ supervisory team (Jianli), contract administration of large scale projects, and claim and EOT assessment;e. Knowledge of local statutory requirements and inspection/approval procedures of relevant Government Department/Authorities in the Mainland;f. Good leadership in leading a team working towards the objectives, self-driven, independent, problem solving with good interpersonal skill;g. Must be able to communicate fluently in English and Putonghua and be able to read and write in simplified Chinese and English;h.
